About Us

This website began as the creation of my wife Mary Florence. It is the fruit of many lonely days and bitter  trials.  When we returned from Malaysia she spent many lonely days at home unable to find employment. During  this time she gathered together articles, found graphical backgrounds and taught herself how to read and write HTML. I hope the testimony of this web site is an encouragement to both sisters and brothers in the Lord and that it encourages sisters to search the word diligently (Ps 119:4) as she has done during her isolation in a strange country. Since these lonely days we have been blessed with eight children and Florence has accepted the highest and most honourable occupation of being a Keeper at Home (Titus 2:5, 1 Tim 5:14). My oldest son has now re-designed this website and keeps things up to date.
Florence and I met at The Flinders University of South Australia while attending the Overseas Christian Fellowship (OCF) group during 1994. After completing our studies we went to Sabah, Malaysia (where Florence was born and grew up) for seven months and returned to Adelaide, Australia and were married in 1996. I am now working as a Software Engineer for Freedom Scientific, a US based company, working from home in Adelaide South Australia, which develops software to enable a blind person to use a personal computer and access off-the-shelf applications for education, employment and home use. I myself am totally blind.

Over the past fifteen years,We have also sponsored ten children in third-world countries, and would like to encourage you to change the life of a child through one of the many Christian sponsorship agencies and to pass on the forgotten truth that children are not only our future, they are blessings from the Lord. My wife is also truly a blessing from the LORD and I am thankful that He blessed me with such a suitable helper whose zeal for God's truth and desire to live in His will is nothing short of excellent. I could not have asked for more.

The most important thing in our lives is to share the Truth found only in the Lord Jesus Christ. Many people today think that life is just about the physical world: achieving goals, making money, indulging in pleasure and whatever else they find to escape reality. Many people forget that physical life is finite and just live as if there will never be a tomorrow, let alone an end. We know that there is a God. The love that we feel and experience, the creativity we express, the beauty we admire and the qualities in loved ones we treasure are just some of the intangible jewels which were intricately and thoughtfully designed. No accident or big bang could ever produce such wonders. Have you ever considered that such attributes as emotion, imagination, creativity, memory, wisdom and hope are proof of a world beyond the physical? We are all born with a desire to love and be loved. Where did this come from?

The Holy Bible is a book which has been criticized for centuries. Those who criticize it, however, are those who generally have not read it. Those who have, and those who have tried to discredit it have often come to know the Person of this book, the Lord Jesus Christ, God who, for our sake, became man. If we acknowledge that there is a God, and if we accept that Jesus is a real historical character, then we cannot ignore His statements. He never said "I think" or "Perhaps" or even "maybe". His statements shocked the "religious" people of His day. They said of Him that no man spoke with such authority (Luke 4:36, John 7:46). Either Jesus was a liar, in which case his life would not have matched His statements and no-one would have even listened to Him, or, He is who He claims to Be, in which case His words are true and must be heeded. Every person who is confronted by this truth must respond in some way to it. The Lord Jesus Christ said that if we believe that He is the Son of God who took upon Himself the penalty for our rebellion against God, we would be saved but whoever does not believe is already condemned because they have not believed in the Son of God, making God a liar (John 3:16-21). There is no middle ground! Eternal life is found in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the truth He both taught and lived.

He has provided salvation for humanity through faith in Him and not works that we can do:

John 3:16-21, 3:36, 6:35-40, 14:6; Proverbs 28:13, Acts 4:12, Romans 1:16-21, 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-10, Hebrews 4:12-13, 1 John 5:11-12, Revelation 20:15.

He has provided all we need to survive:
Matthew 6:25-34, Mathew 11:28-30 ; John 14:27, Philippians 4:6-8, 4:19; Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 37:4, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Peter 5:7.

He has perfect knowledge of us and so can love us perfectly:
Psalm 139:1-18, Isaiah 45:21-25, Romans 11:33-36.

It is not enough to be born in a "Christian family", live in a "Christian" country or mix with "Christian" people. We must make the Lord Jesus Christ our personal LORD by faith, that is, agree with His assessment of our rebellious state, repent from our self-willed rebellion (which God calls Sin) and take His word, the Holy Bible as our sole source of authority for all matters in life. No human "priest" has the authority to pronounce forgiveness for sin, no man can sell you a ticket to heaven and no good works will stand up in God’s court of law (on judgement day). You are saved if and only if you come to God on His terms, that is through the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. Salvation is not attainable through possessing riches, doing good works, having knowledge or any other discriminatory way. God just asks us to repent and believe in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
